Summer Story Hour 2009
"Be Creative @ Your Library" is the theme for this summer's library program for children. The program is open to young people beginning with 3 and 4 year-olds. Using an arts theme gives us the opportunity to have a variety of great programs for our participants. Storytimes, activities, and movies are planned. Separate programs will be offered for 3 and 4 year-olds, Preschool/Kindergarten, Grades 1 & 2, and Grades 3 & 4. A reading challenge for Grades 5, 6, 7, 8, will run simultaneously. This six-week program begins on Wednesday June 10 and runs through July 15. If possible, please pre-register by calling the library at 419-533-5721. All programs are free of charge. For the complete schedule check our What's Happening! page.
Summer Reading Program
In conjunction with the Summer Story Hour, a Summer Reading Program is offered to encourage reading during the summer months and to create an enthusiasm for reading. Prizes are awarded on a weekly basis and at the end of July. Attendance is not required.
Preschool Storytime
Several Preschool Storytime sessions are held throughout the school year. This one-half hour program is intended to help children learn the skills they will need to possess to be
Ready to Read when they begin school. Registration is requested by calling or e-mailing the library.
