Preschool Storytime

Several Preschool Storytime sessions are held throughout the school year. This half hour program is intended to help children learn the skills they will need to be Ready to Read when they begin school. Registration is requested by calling or e-mailing the library.

Winter Preschool Storytime

Preschool storytime continues this Winter at the Liberty Center Public Library!  Ages 3-5 and parents are invited to attend on Monday or Tuesday from 10:30-11am.

Storytime is an opportunity for young ones to enjoy a story, fun activity and a snack at the Library. 

The 2011 Winter series will begin December 5 & 6.  Please sign up at the library front desk or call to register.

New Teen Clubs!

The Liberty Center Public Library has two new clubs for teens to join.

 
The Runescape club is for 10-17 year olds who enjoy playing the online fantasy game.  The group meets the first Tuesday of every month from 3:15-5 in the library community room.  To sign up, download and print this flier and turn it in to library staff.  You could be entered to win a Runescape membership gift card!
 
 
 
The Teen Scrapbooking Club is for 10-18 year olds who want to preserve memories, talk with other scrapbookers and share knowledge and supplies.  This club will meet the first Thursday of every month from 3:30-5 in the library community room.  Download and print this flier to turn in to library staff.  You could win crafting supplies and gift cards!
 

Teen Bookmark Contest

Your Future Starts @ Your Library

Starting February 1st – February 25th Teens and Tweens in grades 5-12 may enter a bookmark design based on the theme chosen by the LCPL Teen Advisory Board: “Your Future Starts @ Your Library”. Designs will be on display at the library and library staff will vote for the winner Feb 27th – Feb 29th. The winner will receive a gift card, and the winning design will be printed as a free bookmark available at the library March 1st through the end of the school year!

 

 

Contest Rules & Guidelines

•  Must be in grades 5-12 to enter

•  Design can be made in black & white or color, can be a paper entry or an electronic entry. Paper entries must fit the 3x8 inch entry form at the bottom of this page. Electronic entries must be submitted as a flattened TIFF, JPEG, BMP, or EPS image file and may be no less than 300 dpi at full size 8x3 inches or 2400x900 pixels).

•  Bookmark content must be appropriate for all ages.

•  Designs can be submitted starting February 1st and no later than February 25th at 3pm.

•  Winner will be chosen based on the following criteria: originality, neatness, incorporation of theme, and printability.

 

The winning design plus 2nd and 3rdplace designs will be displayed in the library and will all be available to print from the library's website.
